Graduate Program in Geotechnical Engineering
The Graduate Program in Geotechnical Engineering started in 1977, offering Master’s degree. The Doctoral degree began to be offered in 1984.
The graduate program research lines focus on the three main branches of Geotechnical Engineering: Soil Mechanics, Geological Engineering and Rock Mechanics. Lines of research include:
Requirements for the master’s and doctoral degrees should ideally be fulfilled in two and four years, respectively. However, these periods may be extended under special conditions.
